Today reminds me of traveling Europe way back in 1974. After finishing an internship in Bergen, Norway, I started on a 6 month trip around Europe visiting all the people I met in Bergen through the University of Denver. It was a great trip and created some unbelievable memories, but one day I remember so clearly.
I had been doing the tourist thing for 3 weeks straight just trying to see everything I could since I did not know if I would ever have the chance to do it again. After opening the patio window and seeing another beautiful day, I hit the wall. I was worn out. How could I just let this beautiful day past without putting in a full and fast day of rushing.
So, I decided right then and there that I just had to stop. It is really hard to have so much fun every day. Sometimes you just need to sit by the pool and enjoy the day. Maybe that is what we all need to do more often.
